Aidan Larkin Joins RUSI as an Associate Fellow
Updated: Feb 24
Earlier this week, our Co-Founder & CEO, Aidan Larkin, was invited to join the Royal United Services Institute as an Associate Fellow specialising in cryptocurrency and asset recovery. Over the next three years, he will be supporting their research into the practical challenges facing international asset recovery efforts alongside a network of other distinguished international experts. RUSI is the world’s oldest independent think tank on international defence and security, having been founded in 1831. As a research-led institute, they aim to inform, influence and enhance public debate on a safer and more stable world by producing independent, practical and innovative analyses to address the complex challenges of the modern world. As the podium of choice for major world leaders and senior policymakers, RUSI is ideally placed to attract high-quality speakers and participants at its events. Aidan was surprised to receive the invitation: “I am more than delighted to have been invited to join RUSI as an Associate Fellow Specialising in cryptocurrency and asset recovery. They have always been my go-to resource for articles, thought pieces and guidance and I feel incredibly humble and grateful to be asked to be a part of such a prestigious organisation like this - I’m almost lost for words! It’s a testament to my amazing team at Asset Reality, and the hard work we’ve all been doing to make crypto safer and improve asset recovery for both victims and society.” RUSI is delighted to have Aidan on board thanks to his passion for arming law enforcement globally with the tools to investigate and recover illicit assets, particularly for complex digital assets like cryptocurrency and NFTs. Through this new role, Aidan will continue to improve asset recovery techniques around the world leading to better compensation for victims and more money being put back into the public purse.
