Fincrime Global 22 - Digital Heists: Crypto Crime and Risks to the Financial Sector

FinCrime Global is back!

Bringing together over 70 thought leaders from across the globe, FinCrime Global returned this week for 2 days of insight, guidance and debate. The industry-leading experts came together to discuss the newest trends and technologies aiding in the defence against financial crime, collaborating to find new ways to combat illicit financial flows more efficiently and effectively.

The event takes place completely online after the recent successes of the live-streaming events back in October. As cryptocurrency continues to dominate the mainstream news, it seems even governments are turning to crypto theft, joining forces with various cybercrime groups to target cryptocurrency exchanges in order to pay their bills and get around sanctions.

Our Co-Founder & CEO Aidan Larkin will be joined by Nicholas Ryder, a professor of financial crime at the University of the West of England, Chris McAteer from SIX Digital Exchange and Sujata Dasgupta from Tata Consultancy Services. They'll discuss the impacts and risks of this startling behaviour on the financial sector. The panel takes place at 10:45am tomorrow morning, Tuesday 25th January.
