Asset Reality Ltd is the controller of your information. When you apply for a role with Asset Reality, we collect and process the personal information you provide, including your CV, contact details, employment history, qualifications, and any information shared during the recruitment process. We also receive information about you from recruitment agencies, referees, background screening providers, public professional sources such as LinkedIn and colleagues who refer you.
Some roles require background screening such as identity, employment and credit checks, sanctions and adverse media screening, criminal record checks and sometimes client vetting or security clearance. We will tell you before any check and explain what it covers.
We use this information to:
Our legal basis for the first three is that we are taking steps at your request before a possible contract and our legitimate interest in recruiting suitable people. For the fourth it is our legal obligation. Where we keep your details for future roles, we rely on your consent which you can withdraw at any time. We cannot consider your application without your details and right to work documents. Anything you give us for diversity monitoring or to support a reasonable adjustment is voluntary.
Your information may be shared with employees involved in the hiring process and with service providers that support our recruitment activities, including our applicant tracking system provider, agencies, screening providers, referees, our advisers and regulators or law enforcement where we are required to disclose such information.
If your application is unsuccessful, your recruitment records will normally be retained for up to 12 months after the recruitment process ends, after which they will be deleted or anonymised. If you are hired, relevant recruitment information will become part of your employee record and will be retained in accordance with our employee record retention requirements. Other records are kept for as long as the law requires.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.
