Welcoming Our New Chief Legal and Risk Officer: Chrissy Hill
Chrissy Hill joins Asset Reality as our new Chief Legal and Risk Officer, bringing two decades of experience across institutional finance and emerging technology.
We're thrilled to welcome Chrissy Hill to Asset Reality as our new Chief Legal and Risk Officer.
Chrissy brings over two decades of experience at the frontier of law and regulation, including serving as Chief Legal Officer and interim Chief Operating Officer at Parity Technologies and leading Dreadnought Solutions, her regulatory strategy practice. She began her career at Linklaters before spending seven years as a Director in Compliance at Barclays Capital, advising on regulatory matters across its investment banking products through the financial crisis. As Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change for more than eight years, she built operational and legal capability across more than 40 jurisdictions.
Across her career, Chrissy has advised on cross-border regulatory risk and governance, combining deep experience of institutional finance with a practical understanding of emerging technology. At Parity Technologies, she helped shape some of the first legal frameworks for the blockchain sector, including token classification and digital asset governance.
At Asset Reality, Chrissy will oversee legal, regulatory and risk matters across our work with law enforcement, government and regulated entities, ensuring our enterprise platform meets the legal and regulatory requirements of operating across jurisdictions as we scale.
Speaking about her new role, Chrissy said: “Managing seized assets is a genuinely demanding legal challenge for any government, and it’s only getting more complex. Justice shouldn’t depend on whether an asset sits in a bank vault or a crypto wallet. Asset Reality has built a platform equal to the task. I’m excited to bring my experience across banking, government and digital assets to that mission, and to help the agencies we support meet that challenge with confidence.”
“When an agency hands us a seized asset, they’re trusting us to protect it for the victims and the public it ultimately belongs to. Chrissy understands that responsibility as well as anyone I’ve met, and she brings a wealth of experience from some of the most demanding legal environments there are. I’m delighted to have her alongside us as we take Asset Reality to the next level,” said Aidan Larkin, CEO and co-founder at Asset Reality.
Chrissy joins us at a pivotal point, as regulatory standards for seized asset management continue to expand. Her experience across global banking regulation and digital asset law will help make sure our enterprise platform keeps pace with those standards, giving the agencies we work with the confidence to seize, hold, manage and realise assets in every jurisdiction, and return more of the proceeds of crime to victims and communities.
Hear from Chrissy on 12 November as we discuss the future of seizure, custody, management and realisation. Save your place.
